5 Cards 1 Kit Featuring Simon Says Stamp Life is a Party April Card Kit 2022


Hello Everyone and thank you so much for joining me !! I think I came up with some fun cards that I hope you will enjoy. If you want a more in-depth look at how these cards came together please check out the video down below. Let's jump right in!!

For this first card I really wanted to focus on the Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink, I used a brayer and covered the inside of stars embossing folder and ran it through my big shot with a piece of HammerMill cardstock. I then used the three balloon dies and cut the largest out of the pink Metallic Kraft-stock, the medium balloon out of vellum, and the smallest balloon from white cardstock. I added some white twine to the bottom of the balloons for some added interest, used some thin 3D foam squares behind the sentiment I stamped out and turned into a label and added some pink jewels to the card front and called this card done.

For the second card I wanted to play with the two glitter gels that came in the kit, I created a mini slimline card which I like to be 6 x 6 inches scored at the 3 inch mark and a black matte about 1/8th of an inch smaller than my base and a panel about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the matte. I used a Balloon Bunch stencil and spread the two Gel colours through it, trying to keep the layers of gel thin although I found that a bit difficult. I set the panel aside to dry for a good 2 hours and stamped out a sentiment from the stamp set and heat embossed It with some Strawberry Champagne embossing powder and fussy cut it out. I used some thin 3D foam squares to give the sentiment a little dimension and added some jewels across the panel and called this card finished.

For my third card I wanted to use some of the pattern paper in the kit, so I chose these two papers and created a shaker pocked with the confetti piece adding Mice flakes, Rock candy glitter and a sequin mix inside to shake around. I use a stitched square die to cut out a panel to stamp my sentiment on and adhered it to the lower right corner of the shaker pocket with some Big mamma foam tape.

For the fourth card I created another mini slimline card and blended on Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks, then stamped out the confetti stamp from the stamp set in the Saltwater Taffy Oxide ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set in Strawberry Champagne embossing powder on a piece of heavy weight vellum and fussy cut around it, I adhered it down with some Bearly art glue flat to the panel and added some pink jewels across the panel.

For the final card I wanted to create a Artist Trading card, I used a piece of Watercolour cardstock that was cut down to the ATC size of 2.5 by 3.5 inches and stamped out balloons in Saltwater Taffy, Dried Marigold and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink. I then used the Balloon Bunches stencil and some MoonStone Glimmer paste across the top to add a ton of fun shimmer and shine. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set, cut it Into a small label and adhered it down with some thin 3D foam squares and called this ATC done.
