Alcohol Ink Thank you card | SSS Mandy's Flowers

Hello and thank you so much for stopping by!! Today I have a fun extra card for you celebrating Katharine Kelly's 1000 subscriber hop on youtube!! There are even prizes if you jump over to youtube and comment on the hop video's before July 10, 2020. Let's jump right into my card!!

As I was inspired by Katharine Kelly, I really wanted to work with mineral paper and that is what I used to create this alcohol ink card. To start I cut down my mineral paper to a 1/8 inch smaller than my black matte, which is 1/8 smaller than my A2 sized card base.

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks in the colours Amethyst, Cool Peri, Villanious (Pearl), and Sterling (Alloy) I also used 99% alcohol and Blending solution to make the colours move and blend. While my alcohol inks were wet I used the Tim Holtz Air blower to move the inks across the mineral paper, I kept adding move ink, blending solution, and 99% alcohol until I was happy with my blend.

Once that was dry I glued down my black matte and Alcohol piece to my A2 card base. I placed the whole card into my Mini Misti and stamped the Thank you sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Mandy's Flowers in Black Soot Archival ink. I then added some Studio Katia sparkling crystals around the sentiment.
