Beautiful Floral Trims Framed Shaker A2 Card Tutorial


Thank you for joining me for this Beautiful Floral Trims Framed Shaker A2 Card Tutorial. Let's jump right in.


I started by cutting the scalloped piece out of hammermill cardstock, and ink blended 5 colours of Distress Oxide ink on it in Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender, then flicked on some perfect pearls for some shimmer and shine. I set the panel aside to dry before I trimmed it down into a frame.


Next, I stamped out the floral trim image in a copic-safe ink then added shading to the 3 flowers with N1, N3 and N5 Copic markers for some added dimension. I fussy cut around the image leaving some of the stamped image off as I wanted it to be smaller. For some final embellishments to the flowers I used my white gel pen to add some highlights back in, used a clear glitter pen on the flower petals and added some opal gems to the centre of the flowers.


Next, I got to work on creating the shaker panel, once my blended piece was cut down into a frame I added a piece of acetate and some foam strips making sure there were no gaps for the glitter to get out. I trimmed down a script pattern paper to go behind the shaker window then added some rock candy glitter and Mica flakes to the shake part of the card front and adhered the shaker frame on top of the base. All that was left to do now was add the trimmed-down floral on top as a fun focal point and call this card done. I struggled to pick a sentiment so I chose to leave one off until I am ready to give this card to someone.
