Beautiful Pink, White and Gold Hot Foil Butterfly Bookmark


Hello and thank you for joining me for this beautiful Pink, White and Gold Butterfly Bookmark, Let's jump right in!!


To start I hot foiled my butterflies with my Glimmer Hot foil system and some Polished Brass Hot foil onto some 120 lb white cardstock, then die cut the butterflies out with the matching dies. I also die cut out my bookmark with a die from Altenew and blended on Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked raspberry Distress Oxides to create a pretty Ombre effect. I then flicked on some Perfect pearls and set it aside to dry.


I used a N1 Copic Marker to add a bit of depth to my butterflies and covered them in some Clear shimmer pen for added sparkle. I really wanted to add some more gold to the bookmark so I used a gold watercolour paint from my FineTec set and added a gold edge to the outside, I also flicked on some of the gold watercolour to the background. I only adhered the centres of the butterflies so I'd be able to lift up the wings and give them a bit more dimension. Once they were all adhered I brought in some Vanilla Luster sequins and adhered them down near the butterflies and used some ribbon to finished the Bookmark off.
