Cityscape Christmas Card | Simon Says Stamp Home Sweet Home Stamp Set
Hello and thank you for stopping by to check out my Cityscape Christmas card Let's jump right in. As always I like to cut down my cardstock to start, I am working with an A2 side fold card base and I cut down a piece of shimmer black cardstock to 1/8th of an inch smaller than my base and I cut a Panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock to be 1/8 of an inch smaller than my black matte.
I used three colours of Distress Oxide ink in Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord to create my background, blending between the 3 colours until I was happy with the blend, I then splashed on some perfect pearls in the colour perfect pearls and set the panel aside to dry.
I stamped out my city images with some Copic safe ink on some Copic safe cardstock and coloured in my images using a bunch of Copic Markers, for the houses I used N1, N3 and N5 as well as Y35 and YR16 for the windows, I also used C7 and C9 for some trim on the houses and G28 and G29 for the trees in the scene. I then fussy cut along the top of the buildings and adhered the first layer flat to my blended panel, and adhered the second layer of house with some thin 3D foam squares to add extra dimension after I stamped out my sentiment and added some shading to the bottom of the houses.
I also cut a star out of white glitter cardstock and three more layers out of white cardstock and adhered them on top of each other for extra dimension and adhered that down above the houses, I then brought in some mini star confetti and adhered a few into the sky for some added shimmer and shine.
