Creating Festive Mini Slimline Cards: A Step-by-Step Tutorial Featuring Pink, Gold, and Brown

I started this card by creating my mini slimline base, which is a 6x6 piece of cardstock scored at the 3-inch mark. I also trimmed down two panels, a gold matte layer to 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and a Hammermill layer to 1/8th of an inch smaller than the gold matte. I ran the Hammermill layer through my die-cutting machine with the Monoline stars embossing folder then splashed on some Picked Raspberry Oxide Spray and Gold splatters for added interest.

I also die-cut the gingerbread man and lady and used Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks to colour them, for the pink areas I used Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Oxide ink, I also used some matte gold cardstock and some white glitter cardstock to add more interest and to stick to a specific colour palette. I stamped out my sentiment in Picked Raspberry and cut it into labels so that it would fit the design better and for some finishing touches I added some white gel pen highlights and some Gold glitter gems, then called this card done. I am pretty happy with how it came out and I hope you also enjoyed seeing it come together.
