Distress Love Heart Mini Slimline Cards
Hello everybody and thank you so much for stopping by to check out my Distress Love Heart Mini slimline cards, let's jump right in.
As always I like to cut down my cardstock, for mini slimline cards I like to cut my base to be 6x6 then score at the 3 inch mark, making them 6x3 inches. I used my Deckled edge trimmer to create the panel to go on my cards and cut those out of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to about 1/8th of an inch smaller than my bases. I used two pieces of Distress watercolour cardstock and sprayed them with water then WinterBerry Mica Spray stain, Spun sugar Distress Oxide spray and Picked raspberry Spray stain in my splat box and dried them with my heat tool.
Once dry I ran them through my Gemini with some nested heart dies in 5 sizes and set them aside to work on my background. I used the tumbling hearts stencil and Spun Sugar Distress oxide to add something extra to the background, I then edged the whole panel with some gold watercolour paint. I cut out three layers of the word love, two in white cardstock and one in gold and layered them together for some added dimension. I adhered four of the hearts flat on the background and adhered the word love on top of them with a T square ruler to keep the letters straight. For the fifth heart I added some 3M foam tape behind it and then adhered it to the left side of the panel then used my liquid glue and added the panels onto their bases. To bring a bir more white into the design I decided to add some Acrtic Breeze pearls on the panels and called these cards done.
