Distress Oxide Ink Blended Sunrise Santa Mini Slimline Card


Thank you so much for joining me for this Distress Oxide Ink Blended Sunrise Santa Mini Slimline Card, Let's jump right in.


To start I created the card base, for mini slimline I like to cut my cardstock to 6x6 inches and score at the 3 inch mark. I also trimmed a black matter to be about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and a Hammermill panel to be about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the black matte to give a thin border on my layers.


I then blended three colours of Distress Oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry onto my panel. I worked between the colours until I was happy with the blend, then splashed on some perfect pearls for some added shimmer and shine. I added some tree tops to the bottom of the panel with some Versafine ink so that it looks like Santa is flying in the sky.


I cut the Santa out of black glitter cardstock and added thin 3D foam squares to the back to give it some depth and dimension. For a final touch I also added a few jewels around the panel and adhered all the layers. I LOVE how this card turned out!!
