Distress Oxide Spray Halloween Slimline Card | Fabrika Fantasy Digital Stamp Little Witch

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!! I have a special card for you today!! I was recently invited to be apart of them Lil patch of crafty friends Challenge blog design team and this is my first card!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved making it, let's jump in!!

I have been loving slimline cards so of course, I wanted to make a slimline card. Knowing I wanted to use a bunch of water and sprays on this card I used a piece of 140lb Strathmore watercolour paper cut to 1/8 of an inch smaller than my card base. I like my slimline cards to measure 8.5 by 3.5 when scored.

To create my background I used a few Distress Oxide Sprays in Carved Pumpkin, Seedless Preserves and Black soot, I also brought in one Dylusions ink spray in Black Marble just to make the black a bit darker. I built up layers and dried them in between so they wouldn't blend as I went, To add colour to the moon I smooshed my cardstock into the ink left on my glass mat. I splashed on Perfect peals and white gouache onto the panel to add to the night feel I was going for.

I recently found a way to use my Cricut to cut out digital images which is a game-changer!! I will have a video/blog post to share my findings with you. I used my inkjet printer to print the witch so I used my Copics to colour her in, isn't she stunning??? I will tell you all the colours I used but if you want a more in-depth view of the background or my colouring please check out the coordinating video.

I used C1, C3, C5, C7, C9 for the belt on her hat and dress, her hair, boots, bucket, and stripes on her leggings. YR12, YR16, YR07, YR04 on the pumpkin, and buckles on her outfit. RV13 for her cheeks, YG23, YG25, YG07 for the greens on the leaf, greens on the ground and other stripes on her leggings, V15, V17, V09 for her hat and dress, and E13, E15, E55, E39 and E29 for her skin tone, stem on the pumpkin and spoon.

I white embossed my sentiment for my witch to stand on so it didn't look like she was floating on the card, then glued it down flat on my card and popped up my witch with black foam squares and attached her above the sentiment. I attached my panel on top of my card base and added a bunch of Studio Katia Clear jewels.
