Distress Spray Flat Shaker A2 Card | Christmas in July


Thank you so much for joining me for this Distress Spray Flat Shaker A2 Card in July A2 Card, Let's jump right in.


To create the main panel of this card I white heat embossed some beautiful snowflakes onto my watercolour panel then I used four Distress sprays in Spun sugar, Speckled Egg, Snowflurries and Winter Berry. I worked between the four colours and some water for extra movement until I was happy with how the colours looked. To make the shaker pocket I used some left over stamp packaging that I cut down then used 1/8th inch scor-tape to adhere the sides, leaving the top open to add my shaker bits.


I like to add Rock candy glitter and Mica flakes in my shaker pockets and usually whatever else I have in my stash that I think would look good. Then I sealed up the last side and added some 1 inch scor-tape to adhere the shaker pocket to my A2 base. I white heat embossed my sentiment on a piece of vellum that I layered up and ran through my Xyron sticker maker so you wouldn't be able to see the adhesive on the vellum. Then I cut out three snowflakes from white glitter cardstock and arranged them around my sentiment, for a final touch of bling I added some Pearls to the centres of the snowflakes and called this card done.
