Elegant Black, White, and Gold Floral Butterfly Anniversary Card | The Ton Transformation Stamp set


Hello everyone and thank you for checking out my elegant black, white, and gold butterfly anniversary card, Let's jump right in.


For this card I am actually going to work right on the base, which is something I rarely do but I didn't want too much bulk on the card as I planned to fussy cut out the side of the butterfly. I have an A2 sized base that I gold heat embossed the Transformation stamp from The ton onto, then fussy cut around the floral wing to create a cut out. I didn't think that the image stood out enough so I added a strip of black cardstock behind the wing to help it pop against the white of the base.


I used a piece of the same black cardstock and gold heat embossed my sentiment, then trimmed it down into a strip. After looking at my image for a little while I decided to bring in 3 grey Copic markers to help add some depth and dimension to the florals, I used N0, N2, N4 working from lightest to darkest and back again to blend out the colour. I think that really helped the florals to stand out against the white cardstock. I then used some thin 3D foam squares to adhere down the heat embossed sentiment strip and added some sparkling crystal gems and some glitter pen on top of the flowers as I cannot resist added sparkle and shine.
