Elegant Gold and White Leaf Christmas Card | Tim Holtz Leaf Fragments Dies


Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by, I love how this card turned out and cannot wait to share it with you, so let's jump right in!!


I made this a 5x7 inch card simply because I thought the leaves fit that space better and would draw the eye. I used Strathmore Brisol smooth cardstock for all the white pieces so they would all match perfectly. I cut my first gold matte layer to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my base and my first white layer to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the gold matte. For my second set of layers I honestly just eye balled what I thought looked good in the space. I then cut out three leaves from Tim Holtz's Leaf fragments dies two in my white card stock and the smallest in gold. I embossed the tips of the leaves with some Gold embossing power by Ranger and heat set it until it was smooth and melted. I took my smallest white layer and ran it through a embossing folder for some added texture behind the leaves.


Then I needed to adhere everything down, I used a strong liquid glue and eye balled my layers to get them centered, next I adhered just the centers of my leaves so I was able to lift the sides a bit for some more dimension. I added a gold heat embossed sentiment and a few gold gems to pull it all together. I LOVE how this card turned out so much and I hope you do too!!
