Flocked Panda Rainbow Card | Simon Says Stamp PICTURE BOOK PANDA Wafer Dies

Updated: Sep 14, 2020

Thank you so much for joining me! This week we will be making a Flocked Panda Rainbow card featuring Simon Says Stamps Picture Book Panda Dies, let's jump right in.

I started with assembling the flocked panda. To transfer the flocking sheets, I used strong double-sided tape and some leftover scraps of cardstock. I covered one side of the cardstock with the double-sided tape and cut down a flocking transfer sheet in both white and black. Then placing the flocking sheet fuzzy side down on the cardstock, I ran them through my Gemini Go to make the flocking adhered to the cardstock. I then removed the flocking backing sheet and ran the SSS Panda Picture Book Wafer Dies through my Gemini Go to cut the panda out of both white and black flocking. I took another scrap piece of cardstock and adhered them face-down to assemble my panda. I used my RV11 Copic to create a pink flocked nose and then fussy cut around the panda shape.

Next, I created a mask with some Inkadinkado masking paper and a circle die from, We R Memory Keepers. I took the outside of my masking and added it onto my panel that was cut to 5 1/4 x 4 inches and blended distress inks in rainbow order including Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Mermaid Lagoon into the circle making sure to overlap the colours to create fun blends.

I then placed my panel into my Mini Misti and added a sentiment from SSS Big Birthday Greetings and also stamped some sentiments and a birthday cake in the inside of my side fold A2 cards base. Once the stamping was done, I added my panel to a black panel cut to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and attached them back down to my cards base with some Gina K Connect Glue. While the glue dried I took a Mini Action Wobbler and added it onto the back on my flocked panda for some fun movement and adhered my panda down to the center of my rainbow blended pane.

Once everything was finished, I wanted to add a little shine. I pulled out my SSS Assorted Moonstone Sequins and placed them in a diagonal pattern and called this card done. I generally don't create cards with this much negative space, but this was a lot of fun!! I have a step by step video below if you would like to check that out and also a full supply list of everything used. Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you again next Monday.
