How to Create a Beautiful Ink-Blended A2 Flowering Quince Card: Step-by-Step Tutorial

I started by creating my A2-sized bases, which is 4 1/4 by 5 1/2, and then cut down a black panel to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the A2 base. I ran the panels through my die-cutting machine with a 3D embossing folder for texture and splattered on some perfect pearls for some added shimmer and shine.


Next, I cut out four flowers, and two branches one on woodgrain cardstock and one on hammermill cardstock for each card. Then, I blended on Distress Oxide inks in a few different colours, I used Gathered twigs and Walnut stain for the branch, Twisted Citron and mowed lawn for the leaves, seedless preserves, victorian velvet, and mustard seed for the flowers. I also splattered on some picked raspberry spritz and added a gem to the center of the flowers.


For the sentiment, I used my hot foil machine and some Prism foil then ran them through my die-cutting machine with the matching die for a fun foiled look. All that was left was to layer up the elements, I used liquid glue so I could make sure everything was exactly where I wanted it and called these cards done.
