How to Create a Stunning Black and Red Bird Slimline Christmas Card: Step-by-Step Tutorial

I started this card by creating my slimline base, I like mine to be 7 x 8.5 inches and scored at 3.5 inches giving me a 3.5 x 8.5-inch base. Next, I clear heat embossed some floral images onto the black cardbase for added interest in the background. I also cut a thin border to go on the front so my birds have something to stand on.


Then, I cut out 6 birds from red cardstock and blended on some oxide ink on the bottom to give them a bit of dimension, I used Aged Mahogany and Black Soot. For the sentiment, I silver embossed it and cut it out to have in the centre ish area on the card and place my birds around it for a fun composition.


For a final touch, I added some clear glitter to the birds and a white highlight and called this card done. I am in love with how it came out and I hope you enjoyed it as well!!
