How to Create a Stunning Pink and Gold Ink Smooched Floral Mini Slimline Card: Step-by-Step Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Create a Stunning Pink and Gold Ink Smooched Floral Mini Slimline Card: Step-by-Step Tutorial, Let's jump right in.


I started by creating the mini slimline bases, I cut the base cardstock to 6 x 6 inches then scored at the 3-inch mark giving me a base of 6 x 3 inches. I then cut the gold matte to 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and the white panel to 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base to give me a thin border around every layer.


Next, I die-cut the Magnolia base layer from some Hammermill cardstock and the detail layer from the same gold cardstock as the matte. I used five different shades of pink to create my ink-smooched look three oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Saltwater Taffy, and two Mica Sprays in Cocktail Party and Winterberry, I dried between each layer to make sure I was building up colour not just blending them.


For the Sentiment, I stamped a small Happy Birthday directly on the panel after I splattered a little gold ink across it and the flowers for some added shimmer and shine. All that's left is to assemble the two cards, I used both Liquid glue and some foam tape to add a little dimension. I am pretty happy with how these turned out and I cannot wait to hear what you think!!
