How to Make a Heart-Shaped Valentine's Day Card: Step-By-Step Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Make a Heart-Shaped Valentine's Day Card: Step-By-Step Tutorial, Let's jump right in.


I started by creating the heart-shaped base, I cut two of the largest hearts from my nested die set and scored the back heart at the top to create a fold where the card would open and close creating the base. Then I cut three of the second largest heart shapes one to act as the base and two to create my colourful panel.


I used my Misti to stamp a beautiful floral on both hearts and then used more of the nested heart dies to cut out layers of the heart that I could then line up to create the main panel on the front of the card. For the sentiment I used some alphabet dies and cut out the word love as well as the two smallest hearts from some white glitter cardstock. All that's left is to adhere the heart layers and add them to the heart-shaped base. I did add a few pearls as well as the small hearts for a bit more embellishment and called this card done.


This card fits in an A2 envelope which makes it super easy to mail out for someone else to enjoy. I am pretty happy with how this card turned out, but I would love to hear what you think!!
