How to Make a Spring Themed Card and Matching Envelope

Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Make a Spring-Themed Card and Matching Envelope, Let's jump right in.

I started this card by creating the base and panel, I prefer my mini slimline cards to be 6x6 inches and scored at the 3-inch mark. I also wanted a small white border around the card so I trimmed the panel down about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base. I blended four colours of Distress Oxide ink on the panel in Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac. Once the inks were dry I white heat embossed some beautiful dandelions, I then splattered some mixed-up perfect pearls to the background for some added shimmer and shine.

I die-cut the flickering butterflies out of some pearlescent vellum and added them across the card, adhering just the bodies and freeing the wings. At this point, I decided to add a sentiment... I would suggest doing this earlier than now lol but I managed to stamp it onto the top of the card tucked in beside the butterflies. All that was left is to adhere the panel to the card base.

At this point I decided I also wanted to make a matching envelope, I used my envelope punch board to trim and score a beautiful piece of Pink cardstock from my stash. To make it match I blended the same four colours of ink and stamped the dandelion bunch in Lost Shadow Oxide ink for a subtle look. I used some 3mm Scor-tape to seal up my envelope and called it done!!

In side news, I opened my Etsy shop!! I have a discount code if anyone wants to order some of my Chunky Floral Alphabet stickers. The Code is THANKYOU10 I hope you will give my shop a look and let me know what you think of the stickers!!
