How to Make a Stunning Navy and Gold Happy Birthday A2 Card: A Step-by-Step Tutorial

I started by trimming down my cardstock, I used an A2 base, which is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 and trimmed my gold cardstock matte to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base, and my Navy panel to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my A2 base. To create the darker colour around the edge I blended on some Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress ink, creating a stunning halo of colour.

Next, I brought in the Best Year Yet stamp set and created a gold embossed background with the gifts and sparkels from that set. I then die-cut out the Fancy Happy Birthday die three times from the same navy cardstock and once from gold cardstock and layered them up for some added dimension. All that was left was to adhere all the layers and pair it with a gold metallic envelope. For a final touch I added some white dots onto the background to help fill in some of the empty space. I LOVE how this card turned out !!
