Layered Rainbow Rose Thanks Card | HoneyBee Stamps Lovely Layers Rose

Hello everybody and thank you for joining me for this really pretty Layered Rainbow Rose Thanks A2 card !! Let's jump right in.

For this card I started by die cutting all the elements and then numbering the backs so I knew how to put the rose together. I chose to use several Distress Ink Mini's in the colours Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet for the rose and Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness for the rose's stem. Once everything was coloured I adhered the layers together mostly only on the lower part of each layer so I would be able to "fluff" out the layers and give the rose more depth and dimension.

I chose to go simple on the background and really let the rose shine so I cut down a piece of black shimmer cardstock to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my base and a white panel to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my matte. I ran the white panel through Simon Says Stamps Crystal Distortion 3D embossing folder to give it some texture and adhered my panels together. I adhered the stem of the rose and the little bud flat on my card panel but added some thin 3D foam squares to the rose for some added dimension. I brought in a sentiment strip and adhered it beside the stem, keeping it flat on the panel. I really wanted the rose to shine so I added some clear glitter pen all over the layers being careful not to transfer the colours and make them muddy. I added some Vanilla Luster sequins across the panel and almost called this card done. Some of colour ended up feeling a bit too flat to me so I brought in my white gel pen and added some highlights all over the focal point, I love how much life it seems to give to an image.
