Masculine Layered Birthday Card | SSS Party like a Panda

Updated: Sep 14, 2020

Hello everyone!! Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my Masculine layered Birthday card featuring Simon Says Stamp Party Like a Panda, isn't Monday becoming the best day of the week?? New crafty fun!!! Let's jump right in!!

If you have been with me for a minute you know that I like to have my paper cut down before I start, I used the MFT A2 Sketched Rectangle Dies, for the two largest pieces of cardstock I used the largest and second-largest dies out of the die set, and for the two smaller panels of cardstock I used the third and fourth smallest dies out of the die set.

I then used the Darice Assorted Stars Embossing Folder on the largest white panel for a little added texture and ran it through my die cutting machine after misting the cardstock with a little bit of water. I then took my Mini Misti and stamped out the panda on the smallest panel and the sentiment banner on a scrap piece of paper, using Gina K Amalgam ink, which is a Copic safe ink.

I used my C1, C3 and C5 Copics on the banner to add a bit of shading and to the plate, the panda is holding, for the cake, I used E53 and E21, the icing is BG01 and BG45, the candle is V15 and BG45, and finally the flame on the top of the candle's flame is YR16. I did want to add some texture to the cake so I stippled on some of my darkest colour.

Once everything was coloured I fussy cut out the banner and added some Darice thin adhesive foam strips and placed it under the panda to ground the panda a bit, sadly I didn't end up lining it up perfectly but I don't really mind that. I then used my Gina K connect glue to adhere the smallest layers together. To add some more dimension to my card I used some fun foam behind the smaller black layer and then attached down the last two layers to my A2 sized base.

I added a few Simon Says Stamp Frosted sequins because I just couldn't resist adding a little bling, and I used a little bit of Glossy Accents on top of the candles' flames. If you want to see how I did any of the colouring a bit more in-depth please check out my video below, there is also a fully supplies list below the video.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my card and I cannot wait until I see you again!! Look for another video later this week!!
