Masculine Mixed Media and Collage Be You Exquisite A2 Card


Thank you so much for joining me for this Masculine Mixed Media and Collage Be You Exquisite A2 Card, Let's jump right in.


I started by trimming down my panel and creating an A2 base, I cut off about 1/2 an inch on the top and side to have some of the background show around the card panel. I adhered some beautiful collage paper to the card base with some Matte medium and set that aside to dry. I then blended some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink into my panel from the bottom right corner going up and fading into white. For added interest, I splashed clean clear water on the inked panel.


Once the panel was dry I used my Misti and stamped the beautiful floral image from the Exquisite stamp set in some Versafine onyx black ink and used an N5 Copic marker to give it a shadow for some added weight, I also used the Noteworthy stamp set for the sentiment. I used a nail file to lightly remove the leftover collage paper hanging off the edges of the base for a smooth look. Then trimmed down a piece of silver metallic cardstock to adhere under the blended panel for a bit of shimmer. I used a little bit of white gesso on the collage base to push it into the background and adhered my layers together.


Then for a bit more interest I brought in some ephemera pieces and created a small cluster at the top of my blended panel and a few extra pieces on the lower part of the panel. For a final touch, I added a few silver metallic pearls to pull more of that silver into the design and called this card done.
