Mini Slimline Flat Shaker Snowflake Card | Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink


Hello Everyone, Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my Mini Slimline Flake Shaker Snowflake Card featuring the new Prize Ribbon Distress colour!! Let's jump in.


As always I like to trim down my base, which for my Mini Slimline's I like to have it be 6" by 6" and scored at 3" for a 3" by 6" bases, I also trimmer down my panels out of some strathmore watercolour paper which I cut to be 1/8" smaller than my base so I can have a white border.


I smooshed four Oxide colours on a slick surface, The oxide colours are Broken China, Prize Ribbon, Salvaged Patina and Twisted Citron for a pop of colour. After working on my layers and drying between each layer, and adding more colours as needed. Until I was happy with how my background looked, I did also add some splashes of perfect pearls and picket fence to the background for a bit more texture. I set those aside to dry and made some Mini Slimline envelopes using Simon Says Stamps Mini Slimline Envelope Die.


Once the panels were dry I adhered my stamp packaging pockets leaving one side open so I could add glitter and bits I wanted in my pocket and sealed that last side so that the pocket was closed and the shaker pieces couldnt fall out, I also adhered my panels to their bases here so that I could be sure that my pocket wouldn't lift. I then cut out the Sophie snowflake 6 times, 4 in regular cardstock and twice in pearl glitter cardstock for the top layer. I adhered them together to create my two focals for the cards and adhered them in the center of the Mini slimline cards.


I stamped out a small sentiment in Prize Ribbon and trimmed it down to a small lable that I adhered with thin foam strips to the center of the snowflake and called these cards done.
