Mixed Media Spring Distress Spray Leaf Fragments Slimline Card


Thank you so much for joining me for this Mixed Media Spring Distress Spray Leaf Fragments Slimline Card, Let's jump right in.


I cut out my slimline card base, I prefer mine to be 8.5 x 7 inches and scored at 3.5 inches, I also trimmer out a vellum matte and a Hammermill panel each layer is about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the last layer. For my leaves I used a piece of Distress watercolour cardstock and misted it with water to get some movement in my colours, in my splat box I added Salvaged Patina, Saltwater Taffy and Flickering Candle Distress inks, working between the colors and clean water until I was happy with how it looked.


I then used my Layering Flourish stencil and some Snowfall Grit paste to add subtle texted to my Hammermill panel, and set is aside to dry. I cut out one of each leaf from the Leaf fragments dies from my sprayed panel and splashed on some Saltwater Taffy Oxide ink to add in a bit more of that coral colour. I also cut out three layers of the thanks die and stacked them up from left over Hammermill cardstock and cut out the shadow for my sentiment in the same vellum I used as a subtle matte. After all the layers were dry I adhered them with some Bearly Art glue and added some Arctic Breeze pearls for some extra shimmer and shine.
