Mixed Media Vintage Orange File Folder Tutorial Part 2!!
Thank you for joining me for this Mixed Media Vintage Orange File Folder Tutorial Part 2. Let's jump right in.
I started by cutting out my background with the file folder die in the Speciment set by Tim Holtz. To decorate the frontI stared by blending on some Spiced Marmalade Oxide ink making sure I had lighter and darker areas, then I used the sparkling stencil on top with some texture paste and heat embossed some Wild Honey embossing glaze on top for added shades of orange and texture. I also used a bunch of different pieces of ephemera, lace and rub ons to create some fun layers. It's hard to explain how I laid out my pieces as I kind of trial and error until I am happy with how it looks. For added shimmer and shine, I also used some perfect pearls powder that I keep mixed up on my desk.
On the inside of my File Folder, I used some more of those beautiful leaf rub-ons, ephemera, thread, an eyelet and some butterfly Washi stickers. I want to add some beads to the thread that I added but sadly I have no orange ones in my stash so that will have to happen at a later date. I am super happy with how this turned out and I cannot wait to see how the other three come together!!
