Oxide Ink Blended Slimline New Year Card

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by to check out this fun Oxide Ink Blended Slimline New Year Card!! Let's jump right in

I like to start out by trimming down my cardstock so I can see what I am working with the base once scored is 3.5 x 8.5 my black matte is 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and the coloured panel is 1/8th of an inch smaller than the black matte.

I stamped out and white heat embossed multiple images from the Simon Says Stamp Amazing stamp set then blended over them with 6 colours of Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, and Cracked Pistachio blending the colours together when there they met. I also splashed on some Perfect pearls for a little extra shine and shimmer in the background.

I used my Cricut to cut out the letters for New Year! one layer in gold and two layers of white cardstock to add some dimension. I stamped out and white embossed on black cardstock the word happy to add above my golden New Year! All that's left is to adhere everything down. I used my T-square ruler to make sure my letters are straight and tucked Happy behind the top of the N. Attached the panel to my black matte and the black matte to the base.
