Pink & Gold Snowflake Artist Trading Cards | 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 10


Hello and thank you so much for joining me for week 10 of my 12 weeks of Christmas series, this week I couldn't resist making a few Artist Trading Cards. Let's jump right in.


I used a 5x7 piece of Strathmore 140lb cold press watercolour paper and trimmed down later to be the 2.5x3.5 ATC size. I started by making the background by using the smooshing technique with four Distress oxide inks in the colours Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Abandoned Coral. Once I had built up the background to something that I liked, I used a Snowflake Stencil and pounced Versamark ink through it then added Gilded Embossing powder and heat set it until its smooth and melted.


I then trimmed down my 5x7 cardstock into four ATCs and used the same gold embossing powder to add a golden edge around each side of the cards. I used three snowflake dies and cut out multiples of each snowflake from white cardstock to add a pop of white on top of the background. Then I added a few gems on top of the centre of the snowflakes for an added pop of glitter.


I think this design would easily lend itself to cards instead of ATCs but I love making ATCs and wanted to create some as I haven't made any recently.
