I started by trimming down my black matte and watercolour panel with the deckled edge trimmer for some added interest, I made the black matte about 1/4 of an inch smaller than the A2 base and the watercolour panel about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the black matte. I used two colours of Oxide ink in Kitsch Flamingo and Lost Shadow, I did the ink smooching technique working between the two colours and drying my panel in between until I was happy with the look.
For my focal images, I cut the papercut cafe dies out of several fun spring pattern papers to add some interest and lay them up with some liquid glue to have some wiggle room. I stacked the three cups and used a saucer and sentiment to help ground them I used a fun circle die-cut out of vellum behind the cups to separate the focal and background a bit more. For a final touch, I also brought in some white pearls for added shimmer and shine.
