Purple Distress Oxide Blended Slimline Christmas Card | 12 weeks of Christmas Week 3


Hello everyone and welcome to week 3 of my 12 weeks of Christmas series!! I hope you love this card as much as I do, Let's jump right into the making of this card.


As always I like to cut down my cardstock so I know what I am working with. This is my go-to for slimline cards 7 by 8.5 inches scored at 3.5 inches. I cut my black matte to 1/8th of an inch smaller than my base and my panel is 1/8th of an inch smaller than my black matte.


I used 4 colours of Distress Oxide Inks, Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord and Black Soot. I worked back and forth through my colours until I had a blend that I was happy with then I added some splashes to the background to look like stars. I then stamped my sentiment and the 3 bears from the Winter skies Lawn Fawn stamp set. I used a few Copic Markers to colour in my Polar bears. N0 and N1 for the shadowing on the bears and B02, B12 and B04 for the scarves on the bears.


I cut out a northern star from some pearl glitter cardstock so there was something for the bears to be looking at. Then all that was left is to adhere down all my elements, I used a mix of liquid glue and foam squares to add some dimension to the card. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did!!
