Rainbow Birthday Balloon Card | Inspired Saturdays - Call me Crafty Al

I am participating in an Inspired Saturdays Collab with the Call me Crafty Al YouTube channel. Let's jump into the making of this card.

I am going to do a emboss resist technique with this card so I used a balloon stencil and pounced some Versamark onto my panel, I then heat set some white embossing powder to create my white balloons, you could absolutely use clear instead of white embossing powder if you prefer.

I then blended on Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks to create my rainbow background. Once the ink was dry I used a clean piece of paper and buffed off the embossed balloons then bought in the second step of my balloon stencil and put on some Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel and set the panel aside to dry. I stamped out this super cute panda and fussy cut him out to be carried up the card by the balloons that I die cut out of some Fog cardstock.

Once my panel was dry I adhered my layers together I have an A2 side fold card base, a black matte that's 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and my coloured panel that's 1/8th of an inch smaller than my black matte. I then used a mix of thin 3d foam squares and double-sided tape to stick down my focal elements, It took me a bit to figure out how I wanted to attach the baker's twine to my balloons but I will let you watch the video to see how I made that work... it's a bit funny.
