Hello everyone, Thank you so much for joining me!! It's time for Monday's card and this week I have two simple Father's Day cards for you featuring the Simon Says Stamp Suzy's Celebrate Dad watercolour prints. Let's jump right in.
Now I will be honest with you, I really struggle with masculine cards. So when I saw this set from Simon Says Stamp I was so excited!! Something I could just sit down and colour and enjoy rather than stressing about coming up with some great design that wouldn't remind me of my dad at all.
I stuck with some very simple Copic colouring on these cards only 2 colour blends and I didn't worry about where the shadows were supposed to be I just used my darkest colour where ever I wanted it to go. For the light blue, I use B04 and B12, for the Green I used G05 and G12, for the Yellow I used Y06 and Y08, the Orange is YR14 and YR16, the Red is R08 and R37, the purple is V15 and V17, the dark blue is B16 and B18, the tires are C9, the windows are B00 and the outline underneath the cards is C1. I also used a silver Sharpie to add some "Chrome" details to the cars. I used the exact same Copics on the Golf Card but added C3 and C5 for the Bag.
Once all the colouring was finished I trimmed down a black matte for both cards to 1/8 smaller than my A2 sized base and also trimmed my coloured panel down to 1/8th of an inch smaller than my black matte. I used Nuvo Deluxe Glue to adhere the matte and panel to the A2 card base and called these two cards complete. I think prints like these are a great thing to use when you are struggling or looking to just sit down and enjoy colouring.
