Slimline Rainbow Birdhouse Card | Simon Says Stamp Bitty Birdhouse Wafer Die


Hello and thank you so much for joining me for a look at this beautiful rainbow birdhouse slimline card, I had so much fun making this so let's jump right in!!


As usual I like to cut down my card base, for slimline cards I like to make them 7 inches by 8.5 inches and scored at 3.5 inches. I also cut down my black matte to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than my card's base and panel to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than my black matte. I brought in Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink and my Cloud stencil and created a background, and splashed on some perfect pearls for added shimmer and shine. I then cut down 6 squares and brought in my Distress Oxide and Mica sprays to create each colour I wanted to have as my focal. I then cut out the Bitty birdhouse in each colour, the string is in silver mirror cardstock and the roof and window opening in white glitter cardstock and adhered the layers together.


I layed out my bird houses on the panel until I was happy with the composition and then adhered them to the panel with some liquid glue, I also adhered the panel to the black matte. I put the panel in my Misti and stamped out my sentiment, then I adheded my panel down to my base and trimmed off anything sticking outside of the base. I am pretty exctied with how this card turned out and I hope you enjoyed this quick look at how it was made.
