Spring Floral Mother’s Day Watercolour Card | Nuvo Shimmer Powders
Thank you so much for joining me for this Spring Floral Mother’s Day Watercolour Card, Let's jump right in.
I white heat embossed the Tulip background onto a piece of Distress watercolour cardstock and then sprinkled on some Nuvo Shimmer powders in the colour Cherry Bomb, Solar Flare and Sunray Crossette, working between the colours and water until I was happy, heat setting between each layer. To Punch up the colours I used a couple of Copic markers Y06, Y08 and Y19 for the Yellow blend and RV42, RV13 and RV14 for the pink blend. I trimmed about a 1/4 of an inch off the panel and created an A2 matte out of some Lemon Chiffon cardstock.
I used the same Lemon Chiffon cardstock for my sentiment strip that I white heat embossed a mothers day sentiment on and the bodies of my Etched Dragon flys, Their wings were cut out of some Pearlescent Vellum for some added shimmer. To help the sentiment stand out I cut out a heart of some heavy weight Vellum and adhered is slightly off the panel for some added interest. I couldn't resist adding some Arctic Breeze pearls across the panel for a little bit extra shimmer and shine.
