"Step-by-Step Guide: How to Create Watercoloured Floral Trims on an A2 Card"



Thank you so much for joining me for this "Step-by-Step Guide: How to Create Watercoloured Floral Trims on an A2 Card", Let's jump right in.


I like to start by cutting down my cardstock, I used an A2-sized base then cut the black mattes down to be 1/8th of an inch smaller and my watercolour cardstock panel down to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base. Next, I stamped one of the floral images from the floral trims set in waterproof ink and chose several Distress watercolour pencils to colour in my images.


I worked on each petal individually so the colours wouldn't travel across the whole flower. I did use a light and darker tone for each flower to create extra depth and interest. Once my whole image was coloured I outlined it with speckled egg just to add a bit more interest around the stamped image. For the sentiment I used a label sticker that I cut apart and added black foam squares for some added dimension.


After adhering the layers I splattered on some perfect pearls, and added a few sequins for added shimmer and shine then called this card done. I would love to hear your thoughts on how this card came together!!
