Stunning Alcohol Ink Butterfly Birthday 5 x 7 Card

Thank you so much for joining me for this Stunning Alcohol Ink Butterfly Birthday 5 x 7 Card, Let's jump right in.

I started by creating my background, I used a piece of Yupo paper, blending solution and two colours of Alcohol ink in Gumball and Laguna. I worked back and forth between the colours and the blending solution until I was happy with how it was looking then set the background aside.

I cut the happy birthday message out of the same heavy-weight cardstock I used on the 5x7 base and adhered it flat on top of my alcohol inked panel after I trimmed it down to have about a quarter inch border and created a glitter matte to go under the alcohol inked panel. I then cut the base of the brushtroke butterflies out of some heavy weight vellum and the highlight part of the butterflies out of the same glitter cardstock I used for the matte.

All that's left is to adhere the layers and add the butterflies on top of the card panel. In the end I opted not to add any more shimmer and shine to this card allowing the background and butterflies to stand out more.
