Stunning Rainbow Anniversary Slimline Floral Card

Hello Everyone and thank you so much for joining me !! I have this stunning rainbow anniversary slimline floral card to share with you, so let's jump right in!!

As always I like to cut down my cardstock so I can see what I am working with. For my slimline cards I like to cut them to 7 inches by 8.5 inches and score at 3.5 inches making my base 3.5 inches by 8.5 inches. I also cut down a shimmery black matte and watercolour panel both are 1/4 of an inch smaller than the last. I used my Misti to stamp out my floral image onto my watercolour cardstock as I prefer the textured side of watercolour paper. I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp several times on both sides being sure to hang the image off the sides of my panel, I also made sure to use a watercolour safe ink as I wanted to add water-based ink in the centre.

I brought in Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Spray and Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Reinkers to colour my rainbow centrepiece. I used clean clear water and a paintbrush to work my colours until I was happy with how they looked. Once it was dry, I added some perfect pearls by flicking them onto the background for a little added shimmer and shine.

I cut out some sentiment strips and matted them on the same shimmer black cardstock I will matte the panel onto so they would be able to stand out more against the florals and adhered them with thin foam strips. I adhered all my layers down with Nuvo Delux Glue and brought in a couple of clear gems and added them around my sentiments.
