Stunning Red and White Christmas card | Winter build a birdhouse dies

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me, Today I have this stunning Red and White Christmas Bird house to share with you, let's jump right in.


To start I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to be 1/4 inch smaller than my A2 sized card base and ran it through my die cutting machine with a 3D snowflake embossing folder to add some texture. I then cut out the winter bird house from School house red cardstock as well as other images from the build a winter bird house die set. To add some depth to my birdhouse I used three distress oxide colours in Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot around the school house red cardstock die cuts.


I also cut out a base for my bird house to sit on from the Summer build a bird house die set, and a few elements out of pearl glitter cardstock for some added bling. I used the coordinating stamp set and stamped out a sentiment on the same red cardstock, trimmed it down into a banner and added some black Soot around the edges to help tie it into the card.


Then all I had left to do was adhere everything down, I used a mix of Bearly Art glue and thin 3D foam squares to add dimension and fluffed up my poinsettia's to give them a more layered look, I also added a few jewel's into the centers of the poinsettia's for some added shimmer and shine.
