Vibrant and Spooky Halloween Town A2 Card Tutorial

Thank you so much for joining me for this Vibrant and Spooky Halloween Town A2 Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.

I started this card off by cutting down a piece of watercolour cardstock to 1/4 inch smaller than my A2-sized base. I added a moon mask to the top right corner and misted three colours of Mica spray onto the background in Hocus Pocus, Jack-o-lantern and Specimen, I also added some clean clear water on the top to help the colours blend. For the moon, I added some water after removing the mask and pounced the circle area into some Jack-o-lantern to create a layered look. I placed the mask back on the circle area once it was dry and blended some Black Soot Distress ink to make the moon stand out against the background more.

Next, I cut out the houses, tombstones and clouds from the Ghost Town 2 dies set from black, slate and vellum respectively. I blended a little black soot onto the bottom of each house and tombstone piece to add a little more dimension. To make it look like someone was inside the houses I blended three colours of Distress ink in Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade randomly on a piece of white cardstock and added that to the back of each house. Once I knew how I wanted my layer laid out I used glue and foam tape to make sure each layer stood apart from the others.

I used my Xyron sticker maker to turn the vellum clouds into stickers to easily add them in the sky for a bit of a spooky effect. I also brought in some holographic stars for added shimmer and shine. For a final touch, I used my white gel pen to add rim lighting to the houses, I love how it looks. This card turned out even better than how I pictured it in my head.
