Vibrant Non-Traditional Snowflake Flat Shaker Card | 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 3


Thank you so much for joining me for this Vibrant Non-Traditional Snowflake Flat Shaker Card, Let's jump right in.


To create the background I white heat embossed several of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Season stamp set on some watercolour cardstock. I then used my splat box and sprayed on three colours of Mica stain Cocktail Party, Shiny Bauble and Winter Frost until I was happy with the colours.


I trimmed down the panel, made it matte from white glitter cardstock, and then started creating the flat shaker element. I like to use leftover stamp packaging, I cut it down to slightly bigger than my panel then use Scor-tape to adhere it on three sides. I used Distress Rock candy glitter and Mica flakes to fill the shaker pocket then taped the last side closed.


Using the same white glitter cardstock I created a textured snowflake with the snowflake Impresslit, then used a thin 3D foam square to adhere the smaller snowflake on top of the larger one and added a large gem to the centre. I lifted the snowflake's edges to add some dimension and "fluff" up the small snowflake. I decided to stamp my sentiment on the inside of the card and called this card finished.
