Adorable Moose Christmas Card | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog Entry


Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by to check out my creation for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. I think it turned out super adorable so let's jump right in.


I used a couple of A2 Stitched rectangles to cut out my black and white matte to add some cohesion between all my panels as I knew I wanted to trim down my blended panel with a stitched square. I blended four Oxide Ink colours Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot, working them back and forth until I had a smooth blend. I then added some Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel through the Simon Says Stamp Random Dots and Stars Stencil. Once those were dry I used the Stitched Square die to cut down the background.


I used my Cricut to cut out the Christmas Moose from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured it in using Copic Markers. E57 and E27 for the body, E79 and E49 for the mane, R22 for the inside of the ears, E42 and E13 for the antlers, and R14, R05, Y08, Y19, G14, and G05 for the ornaments. Then I brought in a white gel pen and added some highlights to my moose, there's no real rhyme or reason as to where I placed them, mostly just where they looked good to me.


I adhered my blended panel to the white matte and placed it in my Misti to add my sentiment. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Christmas Cheer Stamp set.
