Multicolored Birthday Card | Nuvo Shimmer Powders

Hello everyone, Thank you so much for stopping by to check out this fun and colourful birthday card using Nuvo Shimmer Powders.

As always I like to trim down my cardstock so that I know what I am working with, I used an A2 sized base and then a black matte 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and a piece of Canson watercolour paper for my panel which I cut a 1/4 of an inch smaller than my black matte.

First I heat embossed my sentiment on the panel then I taped my Canson watercolour panel down to a hardboard and sprinkled on a small amount of Cherry Bomb, Solar Flare and Blue Blitz Nuvo Shimmer Powders, be careful not to add too much or you will have a big mess!!. Then I misted the cardstock with some water and let the powders do their magic. While my panel was drying I also stamped inside the card-base with another large sentiment from the same Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Greetings stamp set in some oxide inks.

Once my panel was dry I adhered it to the black matte and then the base with Nuvo Deluxe glue. I brought in an N2 Copic marker and added a bit of a shadow to the left side of my letters to make them stand out a bit more and added a few clear gems to complete the card panel.
