Hello everyone and thank you so much for joining me!! We are at week 5 of my 12 weeks of Christmas series and I have a fun Purple and Black Christmas card for you this week. So let's jump right in!
As always I like to cut down my cardstock first, my base is 7 inches by 8.5 inches scored at 3.5 inches, the black matte is 1/8th of an inch smaller than my base and my coloured panel is 1/8th of an inch smaller than my black matte.
I used four Distress Oxide inks to create my background, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord, and Black Soot. Blending between them until I had a smooth consistent blend. Then I used a snowflake stencil and some Transfer gel to add some black foil to the panel after the gel dried. I adhered the black foil with a Mini Minc machine on setting 5.
I stamped a sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and added it on a black matte to tie in the white and black more from the base. I had to add some Crystals and some glitter pen to the word Merry in the sentiment. If you would like to see the creation of this card more in-depth please check the video down below.
