Shimmer and Shine Snowflake Artist Trading Cards | 12 weeks of Christmas Week 9
Thank you so much for joining me for this Shimmer and Shine Snowflake Artist Trading Cards tutorial, Let's jump right in.
I started with a piece of 5x7 watercolour cardstock and sprayed on Tumbled glass Spray Stain and two colours of Mica spray stain in Merry Mint and Fortune Teller, working between colours and water until I was happy with how it was looking. Once the panel was dry, I used snowfall grit paste through a snowflake stencil to add a fun texture to the background.
While my background panel was drying again I cut out 12 snowflakes from white glitter cardstock to add on top of the ATCs once cut down. I cut the 5x7 panel into four 2.5 by 3.5 inch ATCs and added 3 snowflakes to each card with a mix of liquid glue and 3d foam squares for added interest. I cut little notches out of the ATCs and curled up the edges to add a worn texture and look to the cards.
For a final bit of shimmer and shine, I added Icy sparkle crystals to the centre of each snowflake and some mica flakes around the cards for an even wintery look. I am pretty happy with how these ATCs came out, but sadly, the pictures do not do them justice.
