Stunning Watercoloured Floral Slimline Birthday Card | Simon Says Stamp Spring Bouquet Stamps & Dies

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!! This week I have this stunning watercoloured floral birthday slimline card to share with you so let's jump right in!!

As always I like to cut down my cardstock so I know what I am working with and I prefer my slimline cards once scored to be 3.5 inches by 8.5 inches. I don't believe there is any set size when it comes to slimline cards but that's what I lean towards. I used a diagonal stripes stencil and some Pumice Stone Distress Oxide to create my background.

I stamped out the Rose Bouquet from Simon Says Stamps Spring Bouquet stamp set and heat embossed it on Arches Cold press 140lb watercolour paper and brought in my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolours to colour in my roses, I chose Yellow and Green as this card is for my mom's birthday and those are her favourite colours. I splashed on some perfect pearls, white gouache and yellow watercolour I had mixed up and set the panel aside to dry.

Once dry I used the matching dies and cut out the two floral images, and added some foam tape to the backs for some added dimension and stamped a birthday sentiment on my base with some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed off any pieces left hanging out of the card base and adhered some gems randomly along the card front and called this card finished!!
