Vibrant Rainbow Watercolour Brushstroke Gem A2 Card Tutorial

Thank you so much for joining me for this Vibrant Rainbow Watercolour Brushstroke Gem A2 Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.

I really wanted these colourful jewels to be a fun focal on a card so this is the card I came up with to showcase them, it's a pretty clean and simple card for me but I think it turned out really pretty. I started by trimming down my layers, I have an A2 base, a black matte that's cut to 1/8th of an inch smaller than my base and a watercolour panel cut to 1/4 of an inch smaller than my base, leaving a thin border on all my layers.

I used my Misti to stamp the Brushstoke image in five colours of oxide ink moving it slightly over each time, the colours I used were Wilter Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry, I made sure that Picked Raspberry looked like it had started and finished the pattern for a bit more interest. I also used the Misti to stamp my sentiment in Versafine Onyx black ink.

Now I needed to bring in those stunning Jewels, I have owned them in a bunch of colours for a long time but never used them... I tend towards white or black jewels instead. It took me a little while to find a layout I liked with the jewels but in the end, decided to have it look like they were dripping off the ink strokes. I adhered down all the layers and did a little stamping on the inside of the card base then called this card done.

In side news, I opened my Etsy shop this weekend!! I have a discount code if anyone wants to order some of my Chunky Floral Alphabet stickers. The Code is THANKYOU10 I hope you will give my shop a look and let me know what you think of the stickers!!
