Vintage Christmas Penpal Pocket | Flat Mailer

Thank you so much for joining me for this Vintage Christmas Penpal Pocket, Let's jump right in.

To start I trimmed a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock to 7x12 then scored the cardstock at 5 inches and 10 inches, creating my 5x7 inch card with a two-inch pocket. I used Christmas cardstock for this as I am sending it to a pen pal as a Christmas gift but this would work with any Cardstock you have in your stash.

Once you have decided what side of the cardstock you want inside and which side is going to be on the outside all that's left is to decorate it. I used a bunch of different Ephemera packs, some lace I found on amazon, a die to cut out the little envelope, some remnant rubs and a little paper for added shimmer and shine.

There is no right or wrong way to go about this it's really up to you as to how you want to decorate... I tend towards more is more style so I like to add a bunch of different elements and layers, but play with styles that you like and as long as it makes you happy then it's perfect.
