Waterfall Journal Tutorial: Decorating the First Page


Thank you so much for joining me for this Create Your Own Breathtaking Waterfall Journal with This Step-by-Step Tutorial | 12 Weeks of Christmas Series Week 12, Let's jump right in.


After creating this journal last week, which you can check out here, I sat down to decide how to decorate the first page. Sadly this won't be a long post as honestly a lot of it was trying elements until I liked how it looked. The tags are from a pattern paper that I fussy cut out, The deer is from the cut apart's and the light bulb and snowflake are from the embossed die-cut elements.


I also die-cut out the stitched slots and added some white embossing on top as added interest so they could hold the elements on the page. For a final embellishment, I used a small tag die to cut out a cute snowman and added a chiffon ribbon to the top, I also added a loop pin and a star charm to the tag for added interest. I am pretty happy with how this page turned out even if it is a bit crowded. I hope you enjoyed seeing it come together.
